  • What fitness programs do you offer?
    Big O Fitness offers CrossFit, a 60-minute class that combines cardio training and functional movements such as deadlifts, pull ups, squats, and more, as well as our express Fit classes that are shorter in duration yet still highly effective. You can mix and match classes to truly customize your fitness plan, with Fit 45, Fit 30, Fit Seniors, and Open Gym. Additionally, we offer custom plans — from workplace wellness partnerships and personal training to private strength and conditioning sessions. Let us know your goals, and we’ll customize a plan for you. We’re always thinking about new program options to better serve our members.
  • What is CrossFit? Is it safe?
    CrossFit is “constantly varied functional movement at high intensity,” according to CrossFit.com. Workouts change daily and incorporate different movements, sets/reps, and time caps for a well-rounded, challenging, and fun fitness experience. Anyone can do CrossFit and modify the weight and movements as needed. Coach Stacie programs all workouts and includes scaling options to ensure safety and success.

  • What age can I start?
    Big Omaha Fitness is a family-friendly gym. CrossFit Omaha and Big O Fitness programs are open to ages 13 and over. Big O Kids classes are designed for ages 6-12. Our 45-minute 60+ Fit class is exclusively for athletes ages 60 and above. Whether you’re 17 or 70, you can maximize your health and wellness at Big Omaha Fitness.
  • Do you offer help with diet and nutrition?
    Yes! Nutrition is the foundation of fitness. We offer nutritional lifestyle coaching and occasional group nutrition challenges to help you create healthy habits and fuel your body well. As a perk of your gym membership, you’ll receive a free Nutritional Lifestyle workbook full of wisdom and pro tips around meal prep, food choices, and more.
  • Does Big O Fitness offer personal one-on-one coaching?
    Yes! We offer a variety of personal coaching options, including personal training, private strength and conditioning, nutrition coaching, and custom fitness plans. Whether you want to improve a specific skill (e.g., handstand pushups) or work out one-on-one with a personal trainer, we’re happy to create a fitness program that fits your needs.
  • How much does a membership cost?
    We offer monthly unlimited membership packages for CrossFit Omaha and Big O Fitness programs. Visit the gym for a consultation or free trial class to get details about our pricing plans. Your health is your best investment.
  • Do you offer discounts?
    Teachers and Heroes are eligible for a 10% reduced rate (Must be full-time status, teacher, active-duty military, law enforcement, EMT, or fire fighter to qualify *Part-time Reserve and/or Guard status does not qualify for a reduced rate) Spouse (both spouses) are eligible for a 10% reduced rate (both spouses must be active members to qualify) Full-time College Students are eligible for a 15% reduced rate (Undergrad and Graduate students must provide a valid copy of current full-time schedule or transcript verifying 12+ hours to qualify) High School Students are eligible for a 20% reduced rate
  • Do you allow drop-ins?
    Yes, there’s a drop-in option for out-of-town visitors or athletes from other CrossFit boxes. You’re welcome to drop in for any CrossFit Omaha class. The drop-in fee is $30. View the Drop-In Schedule and book your class online.
  • I’m relocating from another gym. How do I get started at Big O Fitness?
    Visit the Get Started page to schedule a free Big O Fitness or CrossFit Omaha class. At the gym, we’ll go over membership options and help you get enrolled. You can also visit the gym at 8529 Frederick Street in Omaha, call 402-909-3660, or email start@bigomahafitness.com.
  • What are your membership options and benefits?
    Gym members choose between CrossFit Omaha and Big O Fitness as their primary program package. Open Gym is included at no additional cost with both programs.   • What’s the Open Gym schedule?
    Open Gym at Big Omaha Fitness is available for all members in the morning, afternoon, and evening when other group fitness classes aren’t in session. Visit the Schedule page to view the schedules for Gym 1 and Gym 2.
  • What can I expect in a group fitness class at Big O Fitness?
    All you have to do is show up, and we’ll take care of the rest! Your coach will lead the class through a full warmup and the workout of the day. Some classes also incorporate a cool down with stretching. Workouts are constantly varied and combine different elements of gymnastics, weightlifting, bodyweight, running, and other cardio/endurance training. Common equipment includes dumbbells, barbells, rowers, stationary bikes, rings, rigs, kettlebells, boxes, ropes, and wall balls.
  • I play other sports. Can I still train at Big O Fitness or CrossFit Omaha?
    We understand the demands athletes face during their seasons. All athletes can train at Big Omaha Fitness in season and off season. If our group fitness class times don’t work with your schedule, or you’d like to work with a coach one-on-one, we offer private strength and conditioning sessions for Omaha-area youth, teens, and student athletes. A membership at Big Omaha Fitness is a great way to supplement your training and enhance performance in other sports.
  • Can I rent your gym as an event space?
    You can book the Big Omaha Fitness facility for private seminars, camps, workshops, and other special events. Email start@bigomahafitness.com to check availability and rates.
